Who are we?

As well as general accountancy, audit and tax skills, our two partners also have individual specialist skills which enable us to provide clients with a fully rounded service.

Our Partners

  • David Pritchett BA FCA CTA MAE
    David Pritchett founded the firm in 1985. David graduated from Sheffield with a first class honours degree in Accounting and Economics and qualified with ICAEW with Arthur Andersen in Manchester, and CIOT. Prior to setting up the firm, David was a tax partner with V R Anderson & Son and director of Anderson Tutors Ltd at Caer Rhun Hall, in the Conwy Valley, preparing students for examination by the ICAEW and the CIOT. He served on the Board of Accreditation of Educational Courses and was Chairman of the Association of Independent Tutors in Accounting.

    At Pritchett & Co, David is involved in a wide range of professional activities including forensic accounting and in 1997 was admitted to the Academy of Experts. He also sits as a governor on the board of Llandrillo College.
  • Rob Kenwell BSc FCA CTA
    Rob Kenwell started his working life in Liverpool having graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physics. He joined KPMG and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1980 specialising in the field of audit. From 1981, he spent the next 3 years working in the Toronto office of KPMG and then returned to Manchester via Australia, and "landed" in the audit department later to move to the tax department acting as a tax consultant to plc's, family companies and individuals.

    He qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor in 1988 and joined Pritchett & Co in 1990, where he has been involved in every aspect of the firms work. He is also treasurer of the Conwy Valley Civic Society.

Our Team

  • Shirley Betts joined the team in 2001 to manage our specialist PAYE / NIC department and a wages bureau. We can offer valuable added services to our clients who wish to outsource within these areas. Shirley has over 30 years experience in accountancy and payroll, 13 of which were served in the Army before returning to Wales in 1989.
  • John Ford joined the firm in August 1991 after graduating from the University of Wales, Aberyswyth with a BSc Econ (Hons) in Economics and Accounting.
  • James Hastings joined the firm in September 2000 after a short spell of working for HSBC. Since joining the firm James has completed his studies and gained his ACCA in June 2006.
  • Darren Jones joined the firm in March 2004 after a short spell with two payroll / manufacturing organisations. He left school in 1999 to become a football apprentice with Wrexham Football Club and spent 3 years studying accountancy at College alongside a daily schedule of training. After leaving Wrexham he continued his accountancy studies and is now AAT qualified. Darren is working towards ACCA to become a fully qualified accountant in the next few years.
  • Julie McGlashan joined the firm in August 1994 after moving to the area from South Yorkshire. Shortly after joining she studied for an A level in Accountancy, closely followed by the AAT qualification and completed the ACCA qualification in the Summer of 2002.
  • Andrew Morris FCCA has a wealth of experience in the accountancy world. After working for a local accountancy practice servicing small owner managed business, Andrew broadened his horizons and experience by joining KPMG in Manchester. There he worked in the Forensic Accounting department dealing mainly with Fraud Investigations, Share Valuations, Loss of Profit calculations and Personal Injury Claims. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
